So, tickets for the upcoming WWDC have been released, and surprise, surprise, they were sold out in a couple of minutes! In spite of the $1,599 price tag, the tickets sold like hot cakes. Even faster. The good news is that registered iOS and Mac developers who are not going to be there in person can follow the training sessions online as Apple is now going to upload them and not wait weeks later.

What has this got to do with the iPad 5? Well, it is not unknown for Apple to make announcements during the event, and of course, information hungry consumers are looking forward to the scrapsdetails that may be revealed come June.
One of the things that have got us really curious is the iPad 5. I totally skipped the iPad 4, not in the least because I had just gotten the iPad 3. Then there was the iPad Mini, which was more interesting, albeit having the disadvantage of being non-retina. If you’re like me, then you’re probably looking forward to the next generation of iPads. What do we know about it?
Rumors Informed speculation is what we have to go on, and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has built a reputation for accurate guesses, says that we will probably see an iPad 5 that is 15% thinner and 25% lighter than the current one. The current full-size iPad is 1.44 pounds and is 0.37 inches thin. We don’t need to do the math to realize that the iPad 5 is going to be awesome!
What else do we know? The iPad 5 is probably going to carry Samsung’s A7X chip. Another leak, from case manufacturer Tactus, shows what is supposed to be the inside of the rear shell of the iPad 5.

If you’re eagerly awaiting the announcement and release of the latest iPad, you might have to be patient for several more months as the predictions point to August-September.
